Netspot Server, the web administrator

Netspot Server is a platform for the remote management of E-spot browsers, with the help of their Cerberus integrated module. Cerberus is remotely controlled by Netspot; it manages and monitors the configuration and status of its associated browser.

This platform makes it possible to obtain regular information on the operating condition of the terminals and when necessary authorizes the remote updating of the configuration of each E-Spot.

The display of information is done through a dashboard interface available on the Internet through a standard Web browser. A change of configuration can be done from that same browser.
Netspot also allows the feedback of multiple alarms from each E-spot via Cerberus, as well as information on the status of payment terminals. In case of failure, Cerberus will restart the browser.

In order to facilitate the management of a large number of terminals, it is possible to consolidate remote units in groups. Dashboards are available, that incorporate specific security features managed with user profiles. The administrator controls several levels of intervention, display, or modification that allow him to control the actions of any group of operators on a heterogeneous installed base.

A trace log is generated for each remote terminal. In the case of a group, an additional log is created. The device architecture is based entirely on the Internet, without imposing fixed IP addresses or domain names, except for the server.
A log tracks the actions performed on the administration and usage (those are functions restricted to administrators). An e-mail alarm system allows warning of an incident on a distant E-spot, of the amount of money collected, or of a printer problem.
Various commands of shutdown restart or time reset may be sent at any time to a remote terminal.
