| E-Spot is a gateway to a local or remote network (LAN/intranet or Extranet/Internet). E-spot provides a control over the browsing on such networks: although similar to a standard web browser, it prohibits any action outside the framework defined by the administrator. ![]() Thanks to its multiple configuration possibilities, the E-spot browser is the safest and most efficient consulting solution for application cases involving a restricted access to data and effective system protection, be it for free or for a fee through payment cards, coins, etc. ![]() With its advanced features of browsing control and with remote control, e-Spot provides administrators/operators of public information networks (intranet / extranet, information kiosks, interactive terminals, cybercafés...) optimal security for their data and systems while giving users safe and easy browsing through a clear and intuitive interface. |
E-spot allows browsing in a wide range of uses (training, trade shows, interactive terminals, net café, exhibitions, tourist sites etc.). It is fully compatible with and provides identical services as Microsoft Internet Explorer (HTML, Java scripts, plug-ins, ActiveX, etc.) Its numerous security features guarantee safe operation in a public setting: controlled internet / intranet browsing and mandatory application. These features can easily be set through clear and exhaustive configuration screens. The user interface is customizable, as items to be displayed can be selected or deselected. The range of settings allow for precise management of security, connection channels, timers and specific devices. Depending on the application domain, various options of card readers are available (smart, magnetic, barcode, virtual, etc.) This allows for the management of restricted use with respect to different card holders or of pay per time features. A coin or bill interface is also available. Reporting on statistics, browsing history and a log of events are generated by the application and are accessible via a LAN or remote access.
Under Netspot large deployments, the Cerberus integrated module allows for setting an online administration platform for the advanced management of several E-spot browsers. Cerberus is controlled remotely by an administrator via Netspot, monitoring the browser configuration to which it relates and providing updates when necessary. In case of operational malfunction it will reset and restart the software. |
